  द्वृ--णिच् अच् । १ गृहनिर्गमस्थाने । गृहभेदेद्वारभेदास्तत्फलभेदाश्च गृहशब्दे २६३७ पृ० उक्ताः“मनोनवद्वारनिषिद्धवृत्ति” कुमा० “उटजद्वाररोधिभिः”रघुः । ३ मुखे च “भुजङ्गपिहितद्वारं पातालमधितिष्ठति”रघुः । ४ शेषे अङ्गे च “सान्तःकरणा बुद्धिः सर्वं विष-यमवगाहते यस्मात् । तस्मात् त्रिविधं करणं द्वारिद्वाराणि शेषाणि” सां० का० “द्वारि प्रधानं,  शेषाणि कर-णानि बाह्येन्द्रियाणि तैरुपनीतं सर्वं विषयं समनोह-ङ्कारा बुद्धिर्यस्मादवगाहतेऽध्यवस्यति तस्माद् बाह्येन्द्रि-याणि द्वाराणि द्वारवती च सान्तःकरणा बुद्धिरिति”त० कौ० । “तद् (व्याकरणम्) द्वारमपवर्गस्य वाङ्म-लानां चिकित्सितम्” हरिः ।
